Brian Long began his professional journey as a senior research scientist at CSIRO Australia, focusing on natural resource projects in Northern Australia. His career took a significant turn when he relocated to Indonesia, dedicating the next two decades to serving as a technical specialist on developmental projects aimed at managing natural resources.
Throughout this period, he collaborated with international organizations such as the Asian Development Bank (ADB), World Bank (WB), Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID), Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), European Union (EU), and the governments of Indonesia, The Gambia, Thailand, Maldives, Sri Lanka, and Cambodia.
His extensive work across these diverse geographies deepened his appreciation for the importance of education and training for local students from developing countries, fostering opportunities for them in more developed regions like the UK, Europe, and Australia.
After relocating to the UK, Brian has now partnered with Dr. Falinda and Dr. Bokhari to create educational materials and quizzes aimed at helping international students prepare for and succeed in the UK’s Overseas Registration Exam (ORE 1).
